There are always sticky situations in life. As a traveling couple we are faced by so many. Where to go? When to go? Who to go with? And most importantly- What do we do with the (fur) children?

• Where to go is easy- Everywhere! We have a long list of places to see, so usually let budget restrictions and sale airfares help us decided this.
• When to go- When we can get time off.
• Who to go with- Anyone and everyone.

But what to do with the dogs? We have touched on this briefly when we discussed Traveling Tips- Traveling with Pets.  We find traveling with our two little fury friends only slightly different to traveling on our own. You do need to be a bit more observant on where they are and what they are doing. As well as take it in turns to use the bathroom or grab a coffee if you decide to let them out of the car.

When we travel internationally I can’t help but feel slightly guilty leaving them at home, while we are away having amazing adventures. Usually a family member or friend sticks up a helping hand and house-sits for us. When we’ve looked into a dog kennel situation we have generally discovered that the doggy accommodation bill is larger then our hotel bill!

Also as a responsible pet owners there aren’t a huge amount of dog related souvenirs that you can bring home.
